Mar. 19th, 2006 @ 06:27 pm Television shows...
Current Mood: busy
The other day I started writing an entry to post in here, and while I was doing so my silly computer froze. I had to restart, and the whole thing was lost. *sigh* It's always discouraging when that happens, so naturally I never got around to rewriting that post.
And now, I'm thinking of another topic. Favorite television shows...I've always liked television because the possibilities in character development, the length of stories, etc. I admit, I don't like a lot of newer television shows just because I find the premise to be silly, or uninteresting. I have come across a few that I liked though.

My favorite televison shows (in alphabetical order)are:

Angel
The Avengers
Bonanza
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Fawlty Towers
Firefly
Little House on the Prarie
The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Rawhide
Robin of Sherwood
Sapphire and Steel
The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne

It seems I tend towards mostly fantasy/sci-fi or westerns. *grin*
I've watched most of the first season of Rome, solely because one of my favorite actor, James Purefoy, was in it. He's getting a bit more mainstream due to the show's popularity.
Our local library recently got the first season of Wanted: Dead or Alive, with Steve McQueen as a bounty hunter. It's quite good, and I'm enjoying it a lot.
It's rather funny, I enjoy tv shows, but I don't actually watch television that much. I admit, I like it when shows get released on dvd and you can just watch one episode after another. *grin*

Jan. 21st, 2006 @ 11:40 pm John Hannah...
I was wondering. Today I walked right past a man that looked just like John Hannah. Does anybody here know if he lives in or near Richmond,Surrey,England? Because if he does, then I may just've seen and walked past one of my favorite actors in real life today!!!

Jan. 10th, 2006 @ 12:28 am "Bread and Roses"
Current Mood: enthralled
Oh man, so this is my moment (probably not gonna' be the last) to gush about how hot Adrien Brody is! But before I get into that, I would like to seriously say that this movie, from 2000 (directed by Ken Loach), is a really good film. It is a serious film about the struggle of immigrants. And more specifically, the struggle of non-union janitors. It's very "real-life", with a non-idealistic, real-life-feeling-ending. Go see it!

Now for Adrien Brody! Now, I know he's like in his early 30's. So a 19 year old girl like me is way too young for him. But the character he played in this movie was soooo appealing! So attractive! He came across as hot in more of a real-everyday-kind-of-guy way. Scruffy hair, lanky, young (looking, anyway), and the beard thing worked on him! In fact, for us interested in men, his cuteness was almost too distracting! I so hope to meet a guy in my age-range that looks something like him, and is as funny, intelligent, and passionate as the Adrien portrayed his character as! ::: sighs :::

I'm so going to be dreaming about him tonight! ; )

Oct. 31st, 2005 @ 10:20 pm Random props to Michael Caine
Current Mood: procrastinating
Hi friends. This weekend I picked up a copy of a magazine called "Spin", and in it I found a short interview with Michael Caine. Even though it was only a page of short answers (some to very stupid questions), you could just tell he is a humorous and respectworthy man. But what really caught my attention is that he is 72 years old!!! How did he get so old so fast?! He definately pulls off a much younger impression, which is awesome for a person of that (or any) age. Caine is super cool!
